Christadelphian Aid for Refugees and Asylum Seekers
Helping the UK’s Christadelphian community support refugees’ lives with hope, compassion and action
At CARA, our hearts and hands are open to those seeking sanctuary, offering a haven of support and care for refugees, asylum seekers and those granted leave to remain in the UK.
As a Christadelphian community, we understand the immense challenges these individuals face – from financial hardships to the daunting task of navigating a new life in a foreign land. That’s why we’re here to extend a helping hand.
Our mission is twofold: firstly, to provide grants and support to UK Christadelphian ecclesias, enabling them to offer essential services like English classes, job-seeking advice and transportation to and from church activities, and cover the cost of basic necessities. This support is crucial in easing the burdens that sanctuary seekers in our communities face.
Secondly, we’re committed to raising public awareness about the plight of refugees and asylum seekers. Through our website, webinars and various online resources, we aim to educate and inspire action.
Your role is vital. Your involvement can make a real difference in the lives of those seeking sanctuary.
Together, we can offer more than just aid; we can provide hope, community and a path towards a brighter future.

Why we do it
Imagine, for a moment, finding yourself in a foreign land, seeking refuge from unimaginable hardships. This is the reality for thousands of asylum seekers in the UK, who arrive with hopes for safety but often face daunting challenges. Many are fleeing violence, torture, imprisonment, death threats or rape.
They grapple with language barriers, financial distress and the struggle to find basic necessities.
This is where CARA steps in – because we believe no one should navigate these challenges alone. We’re here to offer a lifeline of support, ensuring that those in need are not just seen but cared for. Together, we can transform their journey of hardship into one of hope and community.
