CARA is a Christadelphian charitable organisation dedicated to assisting UK ecclesias in their efforts to support refugees and asylum seekers
Our story
CARA stands as a beacon of hope and compassion in the UK’s complex and nuanced religious and social landscape.
Our mission is deeply rooted in the Christadelphian ethos of community care and unconditional love.
Recognising the unique challenges refugees and asylum seekers from places of poverty, conflict and political instability face, we aim to provide the crucial support they require, from basic necessities to vital educational resources.
Many ecclesias are rich in spirit yet limited in resources and struggle to cater to the needs of an increasing influx of asylum seekers in their communities. That’s where CARA steps in.
We offer financial grants for the basic essentials and vital support, advice and guidance, ensuring that every refugee we help feels welcomed, valued and supported.
Partnering with CARA can help your ecclesias amplify its outreach, showing the world that our faith isn’t just about beliefs but heartfelt actions.
Together, we aim to transform lives, bringing solace to the weary, education to the eager and hope to the despondent.
Our team
CARA is led by a committee of volunteer Christadelphians from ecclesias across the UK. Each team member brings unique skills to our charity to ensure we can offer the best possible support and resources to those in need. With diverse backgrounds and expertise, our team is dedicated to advising and guiding ecclesias in how best to cater for people seeking sanctuary in an informed, realistic way, with a sufficient understanding of the asylum system and the various forms of advice and support available.
